It is important to remember that during all work related events (including functions, conferences and social events) we expect all of our employees to demonstrate professional and appropriate standards of behaviour and to adhere to Macquarie's Alcohol and Drugs Policy and related policies. Macquarie does not wish to discourage reasonable consumption of alcohol on appropriate occasions at work functions, but requires employees to exercise judgement and behave responsibly. Where alcohol is provided by Macquarie, it is to be consumed in moderation and employees have a responsibility to protect their own health and safety along with the safety of other employees. Leaders have an additional responsibility to act as role models, to take reasonable precautions for the health and safety of their teams and to promote and encourage the professional behaviour of others.
